Qatar 2022’s best and worst

Qatar 2022’s best and worst

Qatar 2022 is over, with Argentina earning their third World Cup in history against France in the final. It has been a long tournament, full of twists and turns and unexpected disappointments. From the group stage to Montiel’s penalty, we’ve seen teams and individuals shine and fail. Precisely for this reason, taking a step back, we will try to summarize the best and worst of this competition with our analysis of the 2022 World Cup.

The Best

  • Lionel Messi 10: It was his World Cup, where he did nothing wrong. He dragged Argentina to the third World Cup while under pressure from those who continued to consider him an incomplete player, below Maradona’s talent. And instead now we have seen him raise that cup to the sky, complete with photos similar to those taken of Diego after the 1986 success. Messi won with the Albiceleste, raising his performance level game after game. A brace in the final, to which he also added the goal scored on penalties: impeccable. Argentina-France catapulted him into the Olympus of players who have won everything. Maybe this will be enough to silence the comparisons between him and Maradona, or maybe not. The important thing, however, remains having seen them play.

  • Morocco 9: It was undoubtedly the surprise of this World Cup. A strong, fun team capable of eliminating Spain and Portugal thanks to a mix of established players and others who have made their name this month. It finishes the tournament in fourth position, making history as the first African team to reach the semi-final and, consequently, the 3rd place playoff.

  • Kylian Mbappé 9: If the 2022 World Cup completed Messi’s career by allowing him to win the most important trophy missing from his resume, it also established Mbappé as the world’s best player right now. Born in 1998, he already won that trophy 4 years ago and was about to take it back by dragging France alone. In the World Cup final, he scored a hat-trick, also scoring the fourth goal on penalties—three goals that also gave him the title of top scorer of the tournament. The new year is yet to come, but we already have the very first contender for the 2023 Ballon d’Or.

  • Japan 7.5: If Morocco hadn’t been there, the surprise of the World Cup would have been them. They played an incredible World Cup, placing first in a group that included Germany and Spain. Coach Moriyasu plays his cards well, upsetting other teams tactically with spot-on substitutions. Doan and Mitoma shine during the tournament with their team, which nearly eliminates Croatia in the round of 16. Even this time, however, the Blue Samurai failed to reach the quarterfinals. However, it remains the best World Cup in their history. We will see what they will be able to do in 2026.

  • Luis Enrique 6.5: He is not impeccable in the middle of the field (and he paid for it), but outside the green rectangle he offers very high-quality content. During the month of the World Cup, the Spanish coach decides to open a Twitch channel to go live streaming, where he answers the most diverse questions. It is a revolution in football communication, also done lightly. He amuses his viewers (always many) and does good for scientific research, donating all the proceeds from these live broadcasts.

The worst of Qatar 2022

  • Brazil 5.5: They exalt themselves, score, and dance until the second round. Everything seems to be going the right way: Richarlison is in shape, and Neymar is decisive again despite the injury. But then, in the end, Croatia’s consistency and determination took them out of the top four teams in the tournament. All in all, more was expected from a team that had very high potential on the pitch.

  • Southgate 5: Take the last sentence written for Brazil and repeat it endlessly for England. Ok, they met the finalists (who were also the reigning world champions at the time) in the quarterfinals, but the feeling is that as soon as the difficulty bar rises, Southgate’s lineup tends to crumble. He has raised a lineup of young talents, but the feeling of incompleteness remains. The Three Lions were also unlucky, but the manager probably bears some responsibility for all of this.

  • Germany 4.5: Out for the second time in a row in the group stage. They lost their debut against Japan, despite making a comeback in a game where they could have taken more chances. It was not a good debut at the World Cup for Flick.

  • Cristiano Ronaldo 4.5: The World Cup could have been his redemption, but the feeling is that Qatar 2022 has overshadowed it even more. From hero to substitute, all within a few games. CR7 during the tournament attracted, as always, a lot of attention to himself. This time, however, it was more for what he did off the pitch.

  • Belgium 4: The adventure of the generational super team ends here; now they have to rebuild. Belgium could have been much more in recent years, thanks to a series of sensational talents. Instead, with Hazard’s farewell, a circle closes in which everyone has been disappointed, from Lukaku (perhaps the one with the most responsibility) to Martinez. De Bruyne, however, probably still has another World Cup ahead of him. Who will be with him?

Messi and the Super Ballon d’Or

Messi and the Super Ballon d’Or: What is this award in football?

Messi has risen to the top of the world of football with his team’s victory at the 2022 World Cup, along with his native Argentina. For many, he could even retire now; he has won everything a footballer could want in his career, from the World Cup to the Champions League and even the Golden Ball. Not quite all, because there is a version of the sport’s most important individual award that the Argentine has not yet achieved. So let’s try to understand what the Super Ballon d’Or is, how it works, and how it could be won by Lionel Messi.

Messi and the Super Ballon d’Or: what it is, how it works, and how it is made

The Super Ballon d’Or is an award, also created by France Football, that has only been awarded once in history: to Alfredo Di Stefano in 1989. The Real Madrid legend had been active for several years, but was put in contention by the French magazine as he had won the Ballon d’Or several times in his career. In fact, the award could only be obtained by those who had won the best individual award in the world of football more than once in their careers. After that year, the Super Ballon d’Or was no longer awarded, but in recent days, given the great career of Lionel Messi, it is thought that France Football can reward the Argentine as it did more than 30 years ago with Di Stefano.

This is an unprecedented prize, which only the French periodical can decide to award again. Eventually, however, the success of La Pulce will have to pass through a jury that will decide whether he will be the winner. The result seems very obvious, but trying to imagine the other candidates, we would find ourselves faced with an award that could also be won by Cristiano Ronaldo, Ronaldo, and Van Basten. Unlike the original award, the Super Ballon d’Or trophy is made with a base of red stones, supported by a ball identical to that of the main prize.

Di Stefano, the Super Ballon d’Or, and other secondary prizes

Alfredo Di Stefano won the Super Ballon d’Or in 1989, the only year it was awarded. At the time, France Football’s award was intended only for European footballers, and Saeta Rubia (Blond Arrow) managed to win it because he had obtained Spanish citizenship in the past (and this also allowed him to win the Ballon d’Or in 1957 and 1959). Along with the legendary Real Madrid player, five other players who had won the Ballon d’Or more than once were also in the running: Johan Cruyff (1971, 1973, and 1974), Franz Beckenbauer (1972 and 1976), Kevin Keegan (1978 and 1979), Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (1980 and 1981), and Michel Platini (1983, 1984, and 1985).

Di Stefano won, overtaking Johan Cruyff and Michel Platini in the votes, who finished second and third, respectively. In that same year, however, the normal Ballon d’Or was also awarded, which was won by Van Basten (his second prize). The prizes associated with the France Football Trophy, however, do not end there because others have been awarded in history to various players who have written the history of this sport.

The first was for Diego Armando Maradona, who in 1996 won an honorary Ballon d’Or for his career (the Argentine, due to his nationality, has never been able to win the original). In 1999, however, the French magazine nominated Pelé for Player of the Century. All 34 Ballon d’Or winners were called to vote, despite some absences (Matthews, Sivori, and Best refused the invitation, while Yashin had died a few years earlier), which decreed the following classification: Pelé (122 points), Maradona (65 points), Cruyff (62 points), Di Stefano (44 points), and Platini (40 points).

EKITANGAZA KYA WEEKEND ONLINE TIPS AND PREDICTIONS (13th Jan)

EKITANGAZA KYA WEEKEND ONLINE TIPS AND PREDICTIONS

13th, 14th & 15th JANUARY 2023

1.Aston Villa Vs Leeds (1) Friday

Aston Villa are currently 11th and at Villa Park today they host 14th placed Leeds who have not won a game in their last 6 games in all competitions. I do not see Leeds stopping Villa from acquiring these 3 vital points.

2.Napoli Vs Juventus (Yes) Friday

Stadio Armando Maradona welcomes Juventus today as the log leaders Napoli try to continue their league lead. The Scudetto is quite interesting as a lot of competition has been witnessed from top guns. In this fixture today given the high form both sides are in, I do see both teams scoring. 3/3 last H2H have seen the 2 sides scoring.

3.Manchester United Vs Manchester City (O2.5) Saturday

Man United has won all their last 6 games from all competitions currently sitting 4th on the log. Man City want to cling their gap with Arsenal who lead the table and will see them fighting hard to win. I do expect goals from either side as each will aim at winning the derby. What a game!

 4.Brighton Vs Liverpool (O2.5) Saturday

Unlike previous seasons, we have seen Liverpool’s midfield and defense so vulnerable and this has seen them concede plenty of reckless goals this season.  I do expect both teams to have an offensive approach to the game since both want to secure European spots

5.Inter Milan Vs Verona (1) Saturday

Curently sitting 4th on the log, Inter host 18th placed Verona struggling to get out of relegation. At the San Siro today, what a game as both sides trying to secure good spots for them meet. I do give the 3 points to Inter since they are home and have a better pedigree. 4/5 last H2H have been won by Inter

6.Lecce Vs AC Milan (2) Saturday

However hard and tight it will be, AC Milan will try to collect the 3 points at the Stadio Via Del Mare today. A win will see them move 40 points into the 2nd spot being just 4 behind log leaders Napoli if at all they don’t defeat Juventus

7.Chelsea Vs Crystal Palace (1) Sunday

Chelsea of recent have become a laughing stock as they really exhibited shitty football but I do think enough is eough as they host a side they have defeated 5/5 in their last meetings. Let trust the Blues today.

8.Tottenham Vs Arsenal (O2.5) Sunday

It’s the London derby as table leaders Arsenal are guests at the London stadium. It is really a big challenge for the gunners in their title bid this season. I do anticipate a very resilient Spurs side but of course goals will be scored in this game. 4/5 of their last H2H meetings have seen a minimum of 3 goals scored

9.AS Roma Vs Fiorentina (O2.5) Sunday

Roma currently 7th placed host 9th placed Fiorentina as the race for European spots continue. 3/5 of their last H2H meetings have seen 2.5 over

10.Almeria Vs Atletico Madrid (2) Sunday

A win for Atletico will see them move into the top 4 if at all Betis does not win against Espanyol. Atletico look forward to securing Champions league football next season ad will try to win all possible games as competition in La Liga has turned to be so stiff now days with the likes of Villarreal, Sociedad, bilbao  and Betis stepping up. Atletico have won 3/5 of their last H2H with Almeria and I strongly see them winning this game

EKITANGAZA KYA WEEKEND ONLINE TIPS & PREDICTIONS 6th, 7th AND 8th JANUARY 2023

EKITANGAZA KYA WEEKEND ONLINE TIPS & PREDICTIONS 6th, 7th AND 8th JANUARY 2023

  1. Manchester United Vs Everton (1) Friday

The FA Cup kicks off today at Old Trafford as Manchester United host Everton. United have won their last 4 games in all competitions ad Everton has been seen struggling losing 2 and drawing once in their last 3 games. Sure win for Manchester United

  1. Valencia Vs Cadiz (1) Friday

Currently 10th placed Valencia who eye moving up to European qualification spots host Cadiz. I do see Valencia coming out as victors from this fixture as Cadiz is really having a bad run not winning any game from their last 3 fixtures

  1. Fiorentina Vs Sassuolo (Yes&O2.5) Saturday

Ofcourse Fiorentina are better than Sassuolo on paper but the home side have not won a game against Sassuolo in their last 5 H2H meetings so going for 1X2 market would not be a safe option. All their last 5 H2H meetings have seen both teams scoring and 4 of those saw O2.5

  1. Juventus Vs Udinese (O2.5) Saturday

Currently 3rd placed Juventus host 8th placed Udinese at the Allianz stadium as the race to Scudetto continues. 4/5 of their last H2H meetings have seen a minimum of 3 goals

  1. Monza Vs Inter (2) Saturday

Inter are looking for their way up to pose more competition for this seasons Scudetto as we saw them defeat log leaders Napoli at the San Siro on Wednesday. Monza currently struggling sitting 15th on the log cannot pose any rightful competition to stop Inter from attaining 3 points today

  1. Villarreal Vs Real Madrid (U2.5) Saturday

At Estadio De La Ceramica Villarreal host 2nd placed Real Madrid as match day 16 pops in. If you watched both teams play their match 15 fixtures, you could saw that players are still not up to speed and fresh. I do not expect a lot of goals in this fixture, a maximum of 2 goals at most.  3/5 of their last H2H have seen U2.5

  1. Liverpool Vs Wolves (1) Saturday

Liverpool look at the FA as their only chance of silver ware this season as they currently sit 6th in the league. Wolves have really struggled this season and they currently sit in relegation zone. I do see them not giving their whole in the FA Cup in a bid to reserve time to concentrate on Premier League to avoid relegation. Win for Liverpool

  1. Atletico Madrid Vs Barcelona (U3.5) Sunday

It’s a big one in Spain as 4th placed Atletico host table leaders at the Wanda Metropolitano. What a game! I do anticipate a reserve game approach from Atletico Madrid as they a point will be a great achievement for them in this fixture. ¾ last H2H saw U2.5

  1. Manchester City Vs Chelsea (1) Sunday

Here comes a replay of Thursday’s EPL fixture but this time in FA Cup. Man city have won their last 3 H2H meetings with Chelsea who failed to score in any of these. Man City ajja kumukuba kumpaka

  1. AC Milan Vs AS Roma (1) Sunday

At the San Siro 2nd placed AC Milan host 6th placed Roma as the race to Scudetto prevails. After Napoli losing in midweek, I do see AC using all effort to defeat Roma so as to clinge their gap with Napoli who lead the league. 4/5 last H2H between Ac Milan and Roma have been won by AC Milan. Sente ziteke waka osilike.

 1.Monchengladbach Vs Stuttgart (Yes&O2.5) Friday

Stuttgart have scored a total of 17 goals from their last 4 outings in all competitions and here comes a B. Monchengladbach side that have conceded a total of 11 goals from their last 5 fixtures. 4/5 last H2H between the 2 sides have seen O2.5 and 5/5 of these have seen both sides scoring

2.Udinese Vs Lecce (HT U1.5) Friday

Both sides have not won a game from their last 5 fixtures and really seem really struggling so far as the race to Scudetto continues. Udinese currently 8th placed and Lecce sit 17th on the log have both found it really had to accumulate more goals in the first half.  Lets go for not more than a goal in half time

3.Vipers Vs Maroons (1) Friday

Vipers are currently 2nd last on the table with 3 games in hand and will so much try to win this game to catch up with the league pace. They have only played 2 games of which they lost 1 and drew once as we head in to match day 6 following their participation CAF Champions league qualification games with TP Mazembe. Maroons currently sit 4th on the log however they have lost 4/5 of their last H2H with Vipers. Being at St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende, a must win for Vipers.

4.Manchester City Vs Fulham (Anytime goal scorer: Haaland) Saturday

Manchester City are still battling and trying to cling the gap between them and Arsenal who currently top the league. It has become a norm of seeing Haaland score in each and every game however he has not scored in City’s last 2 games and this makes me see him appear more hungry, angry and ruthless in todays fixture to find a goal. Guy is so bad!!!

5.Hertha Berlin Vs Bayern Munich (2&O2.5) Saturday

Bayern are really good and undoubtingly the best team in Europe regarding their recent performances however do sit 2nd on the log to Union Berlin with just a point separating them. Bayern have scored a total of 38 goals from their last 10 games in all competitions with 9 wins and 1 draw

6.Atalanta Vs Napoli (O2.5) Saturday

Napoli currently leads the league and Atalanta sit second as the race to scudetto continues. Both sides are separated with 5 points. These are the most powerful sides in the league this season so far basing on current form and when they meet I do expect a minimum of 3 goals since both play end to end or direct football.  O2.5 is clear and safe

7.Cliftonville Vs Glenavon (1) Saturday

Cliftonville have won all their last 3 league outings and here they come hosting Glenavon at Solitude stadium in Belfast. The home side is 4th placed on the log and Glenavon currently sits 8th on the log with no win against the host in their last 5 H2H meetings. Let’s put it home, It’s safe home

8.Chelsea Vs Arsenal (Yes) Sunday

Currently 6th placed Chelsea host league leaders Arsenal at Stamford bridge this Sunday as the race for this season’s triumph continues. Being home I do see Chelsea scoring at least a goal and Arsenal has scored in at least every game this season.

9.Aston Villa Vs Manchester United (O1.5) Sunday

At Villa Park 5th placed Manchester United are guests as New Villa manager Unai Emery starts his life again in England. Villa will try to prove a point after a poor run and United will also try to win this game to boost their top 4 campaign

10.Tottenham Vs Liverpool (Yes) Sunday

Tottenham are currently 3rd placed and do host 9th placed Liverpool at Tottenham Hotspur stadium. Both teams easily concede and can score a goal at any one given moment of time during the game. 4/5 last H2H meetings have seen both sides score

~GOOD LUCK~

Champions League round of 16 draw Seedings, date, time

Champions League round of 16 draw Seedings, date, time

Due to a tournament that took place in Qatar over the course of a month and resulted in Argentina’s victory under the command of Leo Messi to claim the title of world champions for the third time in their history, the return of the Champions League will not take place until the middle of February.

In the round of 16, also known as the first knockout round, the remaining sixteen teams will compete against one another to decide which team will advance to the subsequent round. This part of the tournament is known for having an extraordinarily high degree of difficulty in comparison to the rest of it. Every club that qualified from the group stage will have the same objective in mind, which is to attain the same level of success as Real Madrid and go all the way to the final, which will be played in Istanbul on June 10th. This ambition is the same for every team that entered the competition. When they join the tournament, all of the teams will have this objective as their primary focus.

After the round of 16, there will be another draw to determine who will play each other in the quarterfinals and the semifinals, respectively. The team that comes out on top in this draw will advance to the next round of the tournament. As soon as the previous round, which included 16 teams, is over, the draw for this round will take place.

This will be done in order to make the final draw, which will be used to decide who the winner of the cup with the “Big Ears” will be.

Champions League regulation 2022-2023: the news and the rules to remember

Since the 2018–19 season, the number of important teams competing in Europe’s most prestigious club competition has been four. This is only the first of many innovations that have been introduced in the Champions League starting with the 2018–19 season. The main change concerned the team qualification system: the first 4 classified in the championships of the four most important football federations in the UEFA ranking (Liga, Bundesliga, Premier League, and Serie A) have the opportunity to access the Champions League without going through the preliminaries. There will be a total of 26 clubs that will obtain direct access to the group stage, namely: the reigning Champions League and Europa League champions; the first 4 of the championships just mentioned; the first 2 classified in the 5th and 6th places of the ranking (national championships); and the national champions of the associations from the 7th to the 10th place in the ranking.

Important: If the holders of the Champions League also qualify for the group stage through their own league, the vacant place will go to the reigning champions of the 11th federation in the UEFA rankings. If the holders of the Europa League also qualify for the Champions League through excellent positioning in their league, the vacant place will go to the third-placed Ligue 1. The remaining 6 places will be assigned through the qualifying rounds, which in the current year envision a “champion path” and a “manager path.”

Champions League 2022/23 match times: The other change concerns the schedule of the Champions League: starting with the 2018/2019 season, in the group stage only, it was decided to play in two distinct time slots, i.e., at 6.45 p.m. and 9 p.m.

VAR-Champions League: Starting from the round of 16 of the 2018–19 season, Var was officially introduced in the Champions League. It is also present in the following editions, starting from the group stage.

Belgium and the others the successful losers

Belgium and the others, the successful losers!

The curtain sadly falls on the Belgian Golden Generation. The Red Devils, who for a long time were in first place in the FIFA rankings and for a decade had a roster full of world-class players, finished the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with an incredible elimination in the first round.

In this article, we’ll look at which national teams have always come up short when it came to winning the championship.

  • BELGIUM 2016 – 2022
  • NETHERLANDS 1974 – 1980
  • ENGLAND 2002 – 2012
  • ARGENTINA 1998 – 2006

BELGIUM 2016 – 2022

In their group, which included Croatia, Morocco, and Canada, Roberto Martinez’s men picked up just a narrow victory against the Canadians before losing to the North Africans and achieving a pointless draw with the Balkans. Everything went bad for this team, even the words of all-rounder Kevin de Bruyne, who had previously stated that the team was “too old.”

After all, the national team coach relied for the last time on the Manchester City midfielder, but also on other players of an exceptional generation, who showed much less than expected. Hazard, Vertonghen, Witsel, Mertens, and Alderweireld are all getting old, so they probably won’t play in another World Cup. Even Lukaku, Courtois, and Carrasco, who aren’t quite as old, will be there in 2026 well before their time.

And thus ends an era that seemed to promise a lot but that, in the end, only brought a third place in the world to Russia in 2018 and many disappointments. At world cup level, the quarterfinals arrived in 2014, with the early elimination in Qatar. At the European Championships, the Belgians stopped in the quarterfinals both in 2016 and 2020, and even in the Nations League, they never went beyond fourth place.

Enough to bring this Belgium, even if it is not among the first favorites for World Cup bets, into the group of splendid losers, the national ones that had everything to win but which, for some reason, never did.

NETHERLANDS 1974 – 1980

And it is impossible, also due to geographical proximity, not to think of the neighbors in the Netherlands. The Orange team of the 1970s, led by Johan Cruijff, Neeskens, and many other champions, came close to victory twice but failed to establish itself. Sure, the mark that Oranje Total Football has left on football globally is indelible, but as they say, it doesn’t do palmarès.

And the rolls of honor will never mention the Dutch national team, which even in 1974 and 1978 seemed well equipped to lift the World Cup. In both cases, however, the Netherlands had the misfortune of facing the hosts in the final act.

In Germany, the final started well with the penalty converted by Neeskens in the second minute, but then Breitner and Gerd Müller gave the victory to Mannschaft. It’s worse in Argentina, because in that case the Dutch are really close to glory. With the run level, Rensenbrink hit the post in the last minute, and the match ended in extra time with Argentina winning.

And at the European Championships, how was Holland doing? In 1972, it did not qualify for the final phase; in 1976, it finished third; and in 1980, it stopped in the first round.

To see the Netherlands, lift their only international trophy, we will have to wait for another great generation, that of Van Basten, Gullit, Rijkaard, Koeman, and company, which prevailed in the 1988 European Championships but nevertheless fell victim to the curse of world class, never getting close to glory.

ENGLAND 2002 – 2012

The fact that the Belgian Golden Generation has not achieved results does not make it any less indigestible to the English that theirs too has failed to leave a mark in the history of football.

And to think that the Three Lions had great champions for at least a decade: Beckham, Rooney, Lampard, Gerrard, Scholes, Owen, Ferdinand—all players who helped their clubs write football history but had major problems when called up to the national team.

In the heyday of this generation, the one that goes from the 2002 World Cup to the 2012 European Championships, disappointments have accumulated without stopping.

In Japan and South Korea, England stopped in the quarter-finals, as well as in Euro 2004. The same thing happened at the 2006 World Cup in Germany, when England appeared to be favorites only to lose on penalties to Portugal.

But they could do worse: at the 2008 European Championships, those of Austria and Switzerland, the Three Lions managed the feat of not even qualifying. In 2010, England’s bad luck kept going in South Africa. Their hopes were crushed by Germany with a net score of 4-1, which left sports betting experts and predictions speechless.

The swan song of that generation arrives in 2012 with yet another stop in the quarterfinals, this time at the hands of Prandelli’s Italy. The real danger is that history will repeat itself with the current generation, as a fourth-place finish in the 2018 World Cup and a second-place finish in Euro 2021 have His Majesty’s fans believing that history can repeat itself.

ARGENTINA 1998 – 2006

It is not limited to European teams; Argentina at the turn of the millennium is an example that should not be overlooked in South America.Maradona’s absence reflects on the Albiceleste of subsequent editions, which fails to win anything after Diez’s farewell despite a squad full of champions (Batistuta, Crespo, Veron, Samuel, Cambiasso, Riquelme, to name a few).

Already in 1998, things didn’t go very well, with elimination in the quarterfinals, but the worst moment came in 2002, when the team, led on the bench by Marcelo Bielsa, was eliminated in the first round, something that hadn’t happened for 40 years.

And even in 2006, things did not go well, with the generation of champions at the farewell stage saying goodbye by losing in the quarterfinals to Germany on penalties. In the same period, there was also zero satisfaction in the Copa America, with a second place and many scorching eliminations.

And the problems for the Argentines also continued with the next generation, that of Messi, Mascherano, Higuain, and Di Maria, who saw the World Cup up close in 2014 but stopped on the second step of the podium. Some of them managed to break the curse by winning the Copa America in 2021, but for others, it will forever remain the label of “splendid losers.”

Australian Open Prize Money 2023

Australian Open Prize Money 2023

The 2023 Australian Open will kick off a new season of high-quality tennis with its title as the season’s first Grand Slam tournament. And the amount of prize money up for grabs this time is even more tempting.

In fact, the tournament will promise even more lucrative rewards than it did in the last edition, which Nadal won after facing off against Medvedev in the tournament final. Instead, Ashleigh Barty came out on top in the women’s competition, but she withdrew later in the day and won’t be back to defend her title. A momentous event for each and every one of the other competitors in the race.

To continue with the topic of the anticipated earnings for tennis players, what is the total prize pool for the 2023 Australian Open? We stated a rise when compared to the previous year; this is correct; but, by how much? Here is an explanation of all the prize money that can be won at the current Australian Grand Slam.

The total prize money of the Australian Open 2023

The total amount of the jackpot at the 2023 Australian Open is a record-breaking 48.3 million euros; in fact, this number represents a gain of 3.4% in comparison to the jackpot at the event held the previous year. The prize money must, of course, be distributed equitably among the several categories (men’s, women’s, and pairs), as well as among the different levels of the tournament, ranging from the qualifying rounds through the first round and all the way up to the tournament final. Firstly, there are the winners, who clearly take home the most money. By the way, do you happen to know how much money will be up for grabs for whoever gets to win the Australian Open in 2023?

How much does someone who wins the Australian Open in 2023 earn?

In addition to earning a significant number of ATP points, the person who is able to win the trophy will also be awarded a monetary reward equivalent to almost two million euros. The precise amount is 1,924,500 euros, which is an increase of 3.48 % in comparison to the previous year. Those who lose in the championship round, on the other hand, may still take comfort in the fact that they will get a reward of €1 million—not bad after all…

The 2023 Australian Open prize pool total

Here is a breakdown of the prize money for those who qualify for all stages of the 2023 Australian Open, round by round.

  • First Round: €68,880
  • Second Round: €102,970
  • Third Round: €147,750
  • Round of 16: €219,270
  • Quarter-finalist: €359,930
  • Semi-finalist: €599,600
  • FINALIST: €1,053,380
  • WINNER: €1,924,500

The total ATP prize pool in 2023 is still growing

The ATP has set a goal of increasing revenue by 37,5 million euros by 2023, and the increase in money for players competing in the Australian Open is part of that strategy. Given that an amount of prize money with such a high figure has never been recorded in the history of ATP tennis, the total prize money for the current year will thus reach about 225 million euros. These are record statistics, given that such a high figure has never been recorded.

But be careful: the increases concern in particular the ATP Masters tournaments and the Challenger circuit, while according to what was announced by the official channels last November, they shouldn’t have concerned the Grand Slams. As seen, however, the Australian Open has increased its prize pool. Regardless, however, the ATP’s intention was made clear by its president, Andrea Gaudenzi: “Our players are world-class athletes, and it is our priority to ensure they are compensated accordingly”.

5 key moments of the argentina france final

5 key moments of the Argentina-France final

Argentina are world champions: the national team, led by Scaloni on the bench and led by a wonderful Leo Messi on the pitch, won by penalties after a pyrotechnic, incandescent, and totally crazy 3-3. Although we are only in 2022, there is already talk of the match of the century: it was the final of the World Cup, in all probability the most watched football event in the world, which keeps fans from all over the planet glued to the TV and only takes place every four years. And it was magnificent.

Argentina did an amazing job, and until the 80th minute, it looked like they were in complete control. Then there was that insane minute, the specter of psychodrama, and the even crazier overtime, a penalty lottery, in which Emiliano Martinez was once again the protagonist. Finally, Montiel’s goal and the explosion of joy for an entire population. Those who were there know: There has never been anything like Argentina-France.

So let’s relive the match through its five most important moments—moments that will go down in the history of this amazing sport, which is always able to top itself in terms of surprise and beauty.

In chronological order, from first to last, here’s what we will remember from the 2022 World Cup final.

  1. Di Maria’s wonderful goal

For long stretches of regulation time, the game was an Argentinian solo: a beautiful tango danced to a different rhythm, with France players on the field, and Deschamps was even forced to make two substitutions before the halftime break, trailing 2-0.
  1. Mbappé’s minute of fire

Only Argentina was on the pitch until the 80th minute; anyone who has seen the match knows that France, apparently, had no way of reopening the match ten minutes from the end, down by two goals, and emptied of any enthusiasm if not with a penalty kick. And Thuram punctually earned the shot from the penalty, which Mbappé converted flawlessly (as well as the other two he shot against the best goalkeeper in the World Cup). However, the French phenomenon did not stop there, on the contrary: about eighty seconds later, he scored his personal double with a scissors kick, allowing France to equalize when all seemed lost by now. Stuff from those who are destined to dominate football from here on out.
  1. The incredible second extra time

Extra time is football in its purest and most essential state: Argentina and France feel tired but hold on, only lucid, and they try to attack to win it without penalties. Argentina takes the lead first, with Messi shining brightly after Lloris saves Lautaro’s shot. Everything finished? Not at all: Kylian is always ready to overthrow everything. Corner kick, ball out, Mbappé controls and shoots, arm deflection, penalty, the PSG striker converts again. All this when we are in the 117th minute of the World Cup final. Madness.
  1. Emiliano Martinez’s performance

So does extra time end like this? Not even for a dream, there is still room for the most beautiful save in the world. Obviously, Emiliano Martinez carried it out: Kolo Muani, launched at the net, shoots a sure shot with his right foot, and the Argentina goalkeeper makes an incredible technical gesture by putting himself in a “cross” and covering the mirror of the goal. Intervention saves the World Cup and takes the match to penalties. And even there, it proves to be decisive.

Not surprisingly, he was the best goalkeeper of the tournament.

  1. Messi lifting the Cup

There is no need to add anything else.

A presentation on the 2022 World Cup, as well as some predictions

Both generating predictions and watching the World Cup are entertaining activities on GSB. On this page, we explain how to create solid predictions for the 2022 World Cup thanks to our football specialists. Our goal is to help you get the most out of placing sports bets.

Fans of football should make it a priority to attend the 22nd FIFA World Cup, which will take place in Qatar between 20 November and 18 December. There will be a lot of fun and excitement in store for fans from all around the world, despite the fact that some teams and star players won’t be present at the event.

After France’s victory in 2018, who will emerge victorious this time around? What criteria are used to forecast the outcome of each match? Which statistics are important to be aware of? On GSB, which is devoted to making predictions for the World Cup in 2022, we answer any queries that may arise.

How Does the World Cup of 2022 Work for Bettors Who Are Making Their First Deposit?

Before we go into the predictions that GSB have made for the World Cup, let’s speak about the most important aspects of the sport, namely its structure and organization.

32 teams that have met the requirements to participate in the World Cup will do so for the final time in the tournament’s history before it expands to include 48 national teams in 2026. In the beginning, all of the national teams will be split up into sixteen different groups of four different teams each.

The dates of November 20th through December 2nd, 2022, will be reserved for this initial phase, which is also referred to as the group stage. The format is straightforward: all of the national teams in each group play one match against one another in order to determine who finishes in the top two positions in the standings (out of four).

Because spots in the knockout rounds are only guaranteed to the top two teams in each group, all of the national teams’ primary objective will be to advance to one of the top two spots in their respective groups. Because there are two teams that qualify in each group, there will be a total of eight international teams that advance to the next round.

The knockout stage will be played between December 3 and December 18, 2022, and it will always follow the same format. It will begin with single-game elimination rounds, and then it will be followed by quarterfinals, semifinals, and the highly anticipated final. On December 17, there will also be a play-off for third place between the two teams that did not win their respective semi-final matches. This is a unique aspect of the competition.

Take a look at our breakdown of the tournament before you place any sort of bet on the World Cup, which features a wide variety of betting options. For the competition that will take place in Qatar, every prediction is worth making.

Predictions that won’t go wrong for the World Cup in 2022

In order to create accurate predictions regarding the outcome of the event, a few things need to be taken into consideration. It is strongly suggested that you:

  1. Conduct a comparative assessment of the overall condition of the two teams.
  2. Analyzing the performance of important players.
  3. Make sure you check for any potential absences.
  4. Consider tactics.
  5. Pay attention to the most recent head-to-head matches.
  6. Consider the mental component of the teams.

If we make an effort to adhere to these six recommendations, we will be able to generate more trustworthy analysis of the World Cup matches in 2022. In addition to this, there is a possibility that our chances of being successful will improve. In the paragraphs that follow, you’ll find a short explanation of each piece of advice that has been given.

1) Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the physical condition of both teams.

Before placing a bet on a match, you must first familiarize yourself with the rules of both of the competing nations’ sports. This means doing a simple study of the most recent results, but that’s not all that needs to be done.

For instance, you need to take into consideration how well both teams performed. Take the time to look back over earlier matches, or at the very least read over the statistics, in addition to analyzing the current performance of each side (including the number of wins, draws, and defeats).

How many more opportunities are there for these countries? What is the total number of shots, corners, and free kicks? How many infractions were committed, how many cards were handed out, and how many opportunities were made available? Research is required in order to get answers to all of these problems. After that, and only then, will you have an accurate picture of the group dynamics of a team.

3) Check the absences.

Checking for possible absences is something that should always be done before making a prediction. During the course of the FIFA World Cup, there are a variety of scenarios that could result in a significant player being absent. They could be injured, they could be disqualified, or it could be the manager’s choice. Because of this, if you want to bet on sports online, you will need to keep your sense of judgment.

In this regard, GSB strongly advises waiting until we know the official formations of the teams before validating a prediction. This will ensure that you have the most accurate information possible. Reading the lineup will let you know right away if a key player is missing, even if you didn’t know it before.

4) Take into consideration several strategic plans.

The World Cup is an extremely varied sport, which allows for a wide range of coaching strategies. 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 3-4-3, or 4-2-3-1…

Therefore, it will be important to know how each team usually plays so you can figure out how hard (or easy) it will be to beat the other team.

For instance, a team that is not used to maintaining the ball in the game may find it difficult to create chances when playing against a national team that loves to play defense and counterattack. This can be especially challenging when playing against a team at the international level. The same logic should be used for a national team that, on average, has trouble dealing with the pressure from its rivals.

It will be vital to take an interest in the tactical component of each side if one hopes to come up with the most accurate prediction possible regarding football. Your ability to perfect your predictions and enhance the number of bets that are successful will both be made possible because of this.

  1. Take a look at the most recent match that is a direct match.

Even though different national teams compete each time the event is held, it is clear that the same great teams frequently compete for the title. When you think about how often historically important teams like France, Spain, England, Brazil, Germany, and Argentina play in the World Cup, you might guess that there will be another big matchup between two important teams.

It will also be important to watch the most recent match between each national team and the opponent to see if there are long-standing grudges, a desire for revenge, or just a feeling of being worse than the other team.

You will be able to better comprehend the psychological background of the game and make the most accurate predictions possible if you look at the results of the most recent matches that were played.

6) You should take the mental component of the match into account.

Taking into account the mental and psychological aspects of the game is the sixth and last best practice for producing accurate predictions, and it is the one that comes in at number one. To put it another way, it will be important to know what drives players and the team as a whole. This includes how much pressure they are under (from fans, journalists, the president, etc.), how well they can do in the competition, and how much experience they have competing internationally.

Even if they have performed worse than their opponent has since the beginning of the competition, it is always preferable to forecast the success of an experienced national team when placing a bet on the outcome of a competition with a single round of elimination, for instance. At the 2022 World Cup, there will still be a large number of experienced players on the pitch.

A number of factors, including the psychological setting, the standard tactics, the performance of the main players, and the consideration of absences, can determine a match’s outcome. When trying to predict the outcome of a sporting event, it is a good idea to do some research on the aforementioned criteria.

Who do you think will emerge victorious at the World Cup in 2022?

Twelve different teams are competing for the title of world champion in 2022. These teams are located all over the world, from Brazil to France, with stops in Portugal, Germany, Spain, and England. Even though Didier Deschamps’s squad has a lot to offer in all aspects, it is difficult to make an accurate prediction now.

While we wait to see how the various teams will fare at the beginning of the competition, we might think about providing a chance to the defending world champions, who are looking to win again. Betting on Portugal to win as an underdog is something we advocate given the odds, as the team that won the European Championship in 2016 is currently undervalued.

We strongly suggest that you review GSB predictions for each match of the World Cup while you are waiting to find out the particular odds for the FIFA 2022 World Cup. This will allow you to conduct further analysis. A group of enthusiastic industry professionals will be responsible for their analysis, conception, and writing. The GSB has all it requires.
